List of questions

The main task is to determine which questions are appropriate for the survey. Please include question number in your comments. On January 17, I will compile the most favoured questions into a survey and send them on to you.

1.       Tell me how you feel about the availability of technology at ACS Cobham:

Below are additional questions which are more appropriate for discussion but could provide ideas for survey questions:


15. Do you think teaching with technology in the high school could be improved?


16. Do you think students have any influence about the technology used in the high school? Should they?

17. What changes would you make in the high school if you were in charge of IT? (Provide students with more access? where? Give teachers more support and training? Improve access by making network more robust: - faster, more software, make sharing documents easier).

18. How would you use technology in teaching if you were a high school teacher? (Use interactive features of whiteboard not just for showing websites and documents, provide opportunities for students to do hands-on work on computers, use a variety of software).

19. How would giving students more access to computers improve learning in the high school? (Examples of more access: providing laptops in classrooms, allowing more hands-on sessions during classes, having more computers in the library, giving everyone the opportunity to use computer labs whenever they need to).

  1. In question 3, try to come up with a list of choices.

    Open-ended questions such as 5, 6, 7, should be reworded to include a fixed set of responses or removed otherwise analysing the responses will take up a lot of time.
